Country Manager Japan

What is the Job

The Country Manager of Japan will be a key member of Performance Revenues Go-To-Market Team, responsible for managing the strategy, sales and operations of Performance Revenues in Japan. As part of the management team, the selected candidate will be responsible for leading the team; iterating and executing the market strategy; overseas and manage the sales and account management to deliver strong performance results. Candidates for this position are required to demonstrate experience of building a digital business, combined with strong Agency/Demand relationships, Publisher knowledge and cross-industry partner contacts at senior levels. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Sales Management, a demonstrated track record of progressive responsibility and success in building and managing businesses in Japan and the ability to combine strategic thinking with tactical execution. Most importantly, the candidate will be a deal maker and expert business developer with the ability to gain access to and close commercial relationships with the key publishers and advertisers across the region.

  • You should be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work with little or no supervision and possess the ability to assemble and manage teams.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, organizational and negotiation skills.
  • Presentative with analytical and planning skills are also essential.


  • Work with the Management Team to define, achieve and exceed quarterly revenue goals.
  • Manage a team of staff comprising Demand Sales and Account Management.
  • Establish relationships with local, regional, and global demand partners (top app developers, brands and agencies in the mobile sphere).
  • Maintain and retain current accounts to expand active partnerships.
  • In charge of recruitment and Training the Staff.
  • Involved in staff selection, training development, scheduling, and ongoing professional development of employees.
  • Be an active participant in the Go-To-Market Team, ensuring Japan is both contributing to and benefitting from the growth of Performance Revenues global business.


  • BA – a must.
  • 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in business development/sales in managerial roles.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking, creative problem solver who can initiate change, lead and motivate his team.
  • Country Managers must also possess a deep understanding of their country’s local culture, laws and regulations.
  • Japanese - mother tongue - must!
  • English – fluent - a must!
